The Problem

The North Fork is known for its amazing food particaully its burgers made from 100% locally sourced, naturally raised beef. Due to the high quality of their food, the establishment draws people from other cities and tends to be quite busy on weekends.

The management of The North Fork was looking for an automation solution to steamline the ordering process and reduce the workload off staff, enabling them to devote more time to maintaining the quality of their offerings.

During peak hours, guests had to wait 5-10 minutes for the bill which caused a decrease in the table turnover rate.

The Solution

SmartiREST recheaed out to The North Fork to inquire about their interest in implementing QR tableside ordering, since so many restaurants are facing staffing challenges. While The North Fork did not have staff shortage, they were keen to boost their table turnover rate and maintain their high service quality.

SmartiREST designed and printed custome QR-codes which could be handed to guests once they enter the restaurant as an alternative to menus. This approach facilitates interaction between wait-staff and guests, providing a level of personal engagement that some guests find desirable.

Once, the guests are seated, they can go through the menu without feeling of being rushed and submit their order, which has proven to increase the number of orders.

Guests don't need to wait for someone to bring a terminal or split their bill, they can simply use the app to pay. Once all the items are paid for, the manager is notified.
